When you’re asked to read aloud in class, how do you go about doing it without having to catch your breath?
Whenever I read aloud in class, I always feel like I have to stop and pause (I do have asthma, but that shouldn’t be an excuse). How can I learn to talk more longer periods of time without having to do this? Thanks.
It’s likely that since you are nervous your heart rate is increased and you need to breathe more quickly. The simple solution is to take it easy, pause wherever is appropriate, and try not to rush with your talking.
Try to concentrate on making your talking ‘cool, collected and smooth’.
