They are the same with one difference — #2 can plug into a wall so you don’t eat through batteries.
You will use a TON of batteries — especially when the baby begins to get heavy.
I had the Fisher Price nature’s touch swing for my son … loved it!! (it did eventually die), the only downside it I was constantly putting in new batteries … but I bought the Fisher Price Starlight swing (#2) for this baby because of the nice AC adapter feature.
