Any good authors or books that are as good these?
Please reccomend something new to read besides the ones I mention below. Use the stuff listed below as reference to some genres, authors, and books I have read and liked.
The authors I like:
Stephen King (horror)
Neil Gaiman (fantasy/ thriller)
George Orwell (deep political stuff)
Sir Conan Doyle (mystery)
Haruki Murakami (deep stuff)
Dante (poetry)
Edgar Allan Poe (dark poetry)
Frank Miller (noir/ mystery)
Allan Moore (mystery/ thriller)
Mike Mignola (Hellboy)
The books I like:
Lord of the Flies (human nature)
I am Legend (dark sci-fi)
30 Days of Night (horror)
Hellsing (horror manga)
BLack Lagoon (action manga)
Please DON’T mention these; I hate them:
Tom Clancy (“America is great” mentality pisses me off)
Twilight (over-rated)
Harry Potter (monotonous)
Try Dean Koontz..He’s really good. You can read Twilight Eyes. It’s sci-fi thriller and really pulls you in.
I’m not sure but, you might like Micheal Cricthon. He writes more technical thrillers. Congo is one of my favorites. Andromeda Strain is really good too.
