Life of Pi original paperback edition the same as illustrated hardcover edition?
The reason I ask is because the illustrated hardcover edition is 336 pages where as the paperback is 368 pages.
PS: this question is addressed to those who have read both editions
I have only read the Illustrated version. But I would guess they would have to be the same. If you look purely at the size of the books the illustrated version is a lot bigger therefore more text would fit onto one page, hence less number of pages.
Book covers and sizes change a lot, especially if they go into 2nd or 3rd edition prints. The text generally always stays the same
