Different cloth diaper brands?
Does anyone use FashionBaby or KawaiiBaby cloth AIO diapers on their babies? Can anyone tell me if they’re worth getting? They seem a bit more affordable than Fuzzi Bunz, which is what I was originally leaning towards. Thanks!
Mckenna…go spam someone else’s questions.
I use some cheaper brands- not the ones you’ve mentioned but the same price bracket and style- possibly from the same manufacturer!
There is very little difference in the shell between cheap and expensive brands- what costs the money is the insert- with the cheap brands it is microfibre towelling, the expensive ones use hemp and bamboo. Using microfibre towelling is good as long as you keep them for daytime wwear- it’s doesn’t have sufficient holding for night time use.
What I did was purchase a LOT of the cheaper brands (rainbow BB, coolababy) and a couple of the more expensive ones- there are some differences in fabric and material quality but the cheap ones work just as well as the expensive ones. I measured the cheap inserts, found out which of the expensive brands had inserts the same size and purchased a few of the expensive inserts for night time use- I’ve since found a cloth supply store that sells hemp and bamboo for the same price per metre as what I was paying per insert so I’ve ordered some bamboo fabric to make some more inserts!
I keep going back to the cloth supply store- I’ve discovered that the PUL makes terrific fashion raincoats and have made myself and my son a couple! I’ve also made several wetbags- I’ve been selling them on ebay to bring in a little spare cash until I am confident enough to try my hand at making cloth nappies to sell myself!
