My 6 week old will only sleep in his cradle swing at night. Is this hurting him in the long run??
My baby will only nap on his belly (rarely) in his crib, he refuses to sleep on his back in his crib. I have tried the rolled blankets, and a wedge. No dice. He’d much rather sleep in his cradle swing. Am I hurting his back? Causing him any harm?
No harm will come of it. My son wouldn’t sleep anywhere but his swing. He slept there from 2 1/2 months to almost 6 months. I put the swing in his room and gradually he started taking naps in his crib and then started sleeping nights in his crib within a two week period. He liked to sleep on his tummy too and I kind of felt safer putting him in the swing. Our ped said whatever gets us some sleep. He said some kids sleep in swings, carseats, bouncy seats, whatever. So for now, if that is what your son prefers, let him do it and get some rest yourself!
