chinese prefold diapers sizes?

I heard chinese prefold diapers are best when cloth diapering a baby. I want to use these but am on a very tight budget. I saw a website saying they sell chinese prefolds in sizes small (newborn to 15 lbs.) and large (12lbs. to 30lbs) for a price i can afford. my question is can i get the size large and just fold up the diaper at the bottom until it fits better to save money and only have to buy one size???

the larger size is going to be entirely toooo big on a newborn – check on craigslist – i found most of my diapers there

if you want to and can – go ahead and get the prefolds in the larger size – but until about 3 months – you will need to use flatfolds – the kite fold worked well for me

i would not spend a lot on the infant size – so if you can make do with the flats the first 3 months – you should be able to use the premiums – they were still a little large on my baby – but they worked just fine- and yes, they can learn to turn over in a big diaper –
