What is the best way to hang a baby swing?
My wife wants me to put up a baby swing in our front yard. We have a very mature maple tree she wants me to hang it from. The problem is that there is no branch parallel to the ground. There is one large branch at an angle to the ground. Is there a good way to hang it from here? I didn’t want to hang it by one point because of possibility of spinning while my kid is on the swing. Is this the only way? Thanks.
nails are the best way to hang a baby, and my name is not Swing.
but seriously, if the ropes are not an even length, it is gonna spin anyway, or at least swing erratically..
if yr handy, u could construct a bracket to make the swing point level, or a hollow but strong rod could be put through the higher part of the branch, hanging down equal to where the other rope joins the branch. this should keep the upper unequal portion of the rope from swinging
