How do you get experience when all the jobs around require experience?
My boyfriend is graduating this month with a degree in Finance. All the jobs around require some experience. He has worked at a bank as a teller for almost 5 years. What I wonder is how you get experience when all the jobs that would give you experience require experience.
He should talk to Career Services at the school he is going to. Their job is to help him find a job using the education and/or skills he has been working on for the past 4 years. If Career Services is doing their job well, they will have aligned themselves with potential employers who also know what the product (graduates) are like, and are more willing to hire people.
Also, if he is has been working as a teller, he should consider talking to the bank he works for about continuing his career with them.
